Cake Smash and Splash

Cake smash photo sessions are always a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate a 1^st birthday, and Lorcan absolutely loved his. He first came to see me for his newborn photo session, so it was great to see how much he had grown when he came back last week.

 

We start the session with a few photos with my ONE letters and some a few family portraits, then the fun really starts with the main event – the cake smash.

I recommend to parents doing some messy play with their children in the days running up to the session, so that they are really ready to get stuck into the cake. I can supply the giant cupcakes for the session, but you do need to advise of any allergies. I also supply a cake smash outfit, plus bunting and balloons, so all you need to do is turn up.

   

Lorcan didn’t need any encouragement to get stuck into his cake, lots of laughter and blue icing everywhere made for some great photo – and just look at his expressions!

 

    

 

After the cake smash, the other part of the sessions that babies generally love is the splash part. A little warm water and lots of bubbles and Lorcan was absolutely in his element. I think he would have stayed in there playing for the rest of the day if he could have.

 

      

 

The cake smash session was fun for all the family and there was still half a giant cupcake for the family to take home and enjoy with a cup of tea.
