There is nothing I love better than a family photo session in the woods on a beautiful day when the children are running around having fun. I had first met twins Reece and Ramsey and their parents last year when we did a studio session, but now they are older the freedom of an outdoor session suited their personalities so much more.
So during our afternoon at Blackwood Forest we weren’t just taking photos – we had some tree climbing, games of peek a boo, being swung by their parents, piggy backs and lots of tickling sessions.
A lifestyle photography session with me is really all about you having an hour or so of fun with your family. We go off for a walk and stopping off at interesting points on the way. No two sessions are the same, even when using the same location. There are always different paths to explore, different games to play and different personalities to capture. And the changing seasons mean that the beautiful Hampshire countryside is also changing the stunning backdrops that we have available.
I’m always happy to travel to new locations to find somewhere that is special to you and your family. But if you are not sure then I also have quite a list of favourite spots that I know work really well.
I was spoilt for choice with photos packed full of personality for this gallery. And importantly, the family had some lovely time together making even more special memories – and these are ones they definitely won’t forget as they have the photos on their walls to remind them.
